Monthly Community Update from Sgt Sam Dawson - August 2026

I hope this message finds you well. As we move through August, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

Anti-social behaviour hotspots around Tenby Harbour, patrols have increased in this location due to issues being raised to us by the local community. I would encourage anyone experiencing ASB to report via 101.

Speeding concerns raised near Hays Lane Sageston, this has been progressed by our local Roads Policing Unit and is an ongoing priority.

Visible patrols in hot spot areas under Op Lion. Increased patrols will continue until the end of the school holidays.

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

Pembrokeshire County Council to tackle concerns relating to empty premises that are causing concerns relating to Anti-Social Behaviour.

Local Councillors regarding speeding concerns in Hays Lane Sageston.

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.
